Crooked Brim roadside workshop at sunset

Crooked Brim / maker call no. 01

MAKE WEIRD HATS? WE SHOULD TALK.

Crooked Brim is building a rack for the hats that do not know how to behave. If you make work with a pulse, a point of view, and a little evidence of the human hand, put it in front of us.

APPLY TO THE RACK

Applications reviewed by hand. No guarantees, no auto-accepts.

A selective rack

We would rather have ten memorable hats than a hundred forgettable ones.

Independent work with a real point of view.
Clear provenance, honest materials, and work you own.
A practical studio rhythm we can plan around.

What might belong here

The categories are open-ended on purpose.

Caps, truckers, beanies, western, straw, golf, and the weird stuff between them are all possible directions. Possibility is not inventory. Every piece still earns its place.

How it works

A good conversation before a good-looking contract.

01

You show us the work.

Tell the truth about what you make, how you make it, and what you can actually deliver.

02

We look closely.

Every application gets a human read. We may ask a few follow-ups; we may not be the right fit.

03

If it clicks, we talk next steps.

Placement, terms, and timing come later. Nothing publishes and no account appears from this form.

Before you apply

Bring the real version.

We are not looking for a brand deck. We are looking for the studio, the hands, the odd material you refuse to replace, and a clear idea of what a partnership could be.

Curated review means we may say no. It also means a yes is considered, specific, and never an automatic promise of placement or sales.

The maker application

Make the case for your weirdest good idea.

Private intake for later review. No seller account, public listing, or product publishing happens here.

The long version

Put your work on the table.
This is not a promise of placement. It is a proper look at your work before we decide whether there is a fit.
01 / The person and the place

Tell us who is behind the bench and where it lives.

02 / The shape of your work

These are possibilities for the program, not a claim about what is currently stocked.

03 / The story in the stitches

We want the specific version, not the polished elevator pitch.
